The most common codes
- M21 — Dermatitis digitalis (DD): infectious claw disease, most common cause of lameness
- M22 — Dermatitis interdigitalis: interdigital skin inflammation
- M71 — Sole ulcer: the second most economically significant claw disorder
- M40 — White line disease: separation at the white line, especially in higher-producing cows
- M84 — Laminitis: diffuse or subclinical, often affects multiple claws
