Cownt App Terms of Service

§1. General Provisions

These Terms of Service set forth the rules for using the Cownt mobile application (hereinafter: the "App"), available in the Google Play store, intended for dairy cattle hoof trimmers.

The Cownt App is provided by Piotr Miron, conducting business at: ul. Garbarska 24, 16-120 Krynki, NIP [Tax ID]: 5451817881 (hereinafter: the "Service Provider").

Using the App is equivalent to accepting these Terms of Service in their entirety.

§2. Definitions

App — the Cownt mobile software available in the Google Play store.

User — a natural person conducting business activity or a legal entity using the App for professional purposes.

Account — an individual account assigned to a single Google user. Sharing the account with third parties is strictly prohibited.

Subscription — paid access to the full features of the App, renewed automatically on a monthly or annual basis via Google Play.

Trial Period — a 5-day free access to the full version of the App, available to new users.

§3. Scope of Services

The Cownt App enables digital documentation of dairy cattle hoof trimming, including:

  • Registering trimming procedures using ICAR Claw Health Atlas codes.
  • Generating PDF and Excel reports for farmers/breeders.
  • Managing data for multiple herds and clients.
  • Offline work with subsequent data synchronization.
  • Access to the web portal (portal.cownt.app) for statistical analysis.

§4. User Account

Each Cownt account is assigned to a single Google account. Sharing the account with other persons is not allowed. Every trimmer should use their own individual account.

The User is responsible for all actions performed within their account.

§5. Trial Period and Subscription

New Users receive a 5-day free Trial Period with full access to all of the App's features. The trial period does not require providing payment details — activation occurs via Google Play.

After the trial period ends, an active Subscription is required. The subscription fee is charged to the account associated with Google Play. Subscription prices are visible in the Google Play store and on the cownt.app website.

Cancellation of the Subscription must occur at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period through the Google Play settings.

The Service Provider also allows the purchase of a subscription outside the Google Play store by way of an individual agreement. To do so, please contact the Service Provider by phone or email.

§6. User's Rights and Obligations

The User agrees to use the App in accordance with applicable law and these Terms of Service, and exclusively for the professional purposes for which the App is intended.

It is strictly prohibited to:

  • Share the account with third parties.
  • Decompile or modify the App's source code.
  • Use the App in a manner that infringes upon the rights of third parties.
  • Take actions that may disrupt the operation of the App or its servers.

§7. Intellectual Property

All rights to the App, including the source code, graphics, content, and the ICAR codes database implemented within the App, are the property of the Service Provider and are protected by copyright law. The User is granted a non-exclusive license to use the App solely for their own professional use.

§8. Data and Privacy

The rules for processing personal data are specified in a separate Privacy Policy available on the cownt.app website.

Data entered by the User (ear tag numbers, diagnoses, notes) are stored on Google Firebase servers and are accessible exclusively to the User. Data synchronization with the cloud is initiated manually by the User.

§9. Liability

The Service Provider is not liable for:

  • Decisions made based on the data contained in the App.
  • Interruptions in service availability arising from causes beyond the Service Provider's control (e.g., Google infrastructure failures, force majeure).
  • Loss of data resulting from User actions or device failure if the User has not synchronized the data with the cloud.

§10. Amendments to the Terms of Service

The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service. Users will be informed of significant changes reasonably in advance via the App or the email address provided during registration.
