Where this came from
It started as an ordinary complaint at the kitchen table: a full day in the barn ends in the evening, with a notebook and a spreadsheet, copying out what had already been written down once. The farmer calls a week later asking what exactly was done to cow number such-and-such, and the answer sits somewhere in notes from three visits ago.
The first version was painfully simple and had exactly one user. It worked at the crush — which is to say, where an entry has to take seconds rather than a minute, and everything has to be doable with gloves on. Every feature since has come from the same place: something that genuinely got in the way of the work.
That is why there is nothing in Cownt that nobody uses. ICAR codes are there because the vet and the farmer have to agree on terms. Offline mode is there because barns have no signal. Voice control is there because your hands are wet and busy. None of that came out of a product strategy deck.
